Phnom Penh: The land sector in the provinces
seems to be growing remarkably due to the continuous development of
infrastructure and economy in the province, which encourages investors to need
land for development projects.
The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Techo
Hun Sen, has also praised the achievements of the construction sector
throughout Cambodia, regardless of the provinces and cities. Samdech expects
the real estate market in the provinces, such as land, condominiums, housing,
construction, and more development figures to boost the Cambodian economy to
another level.
Amatak Property Service Director Tang Hour told
PropertyAreaAsia that Kampot land has the potential for tourism-type real
estate, and most investors need to develop hotels, resorts or land for
eco-tourism bungalows and so on.
She said that while the Cambodian government
pays attention to the beauty of Kampot to become an international tourist
destination, investors need to look for more investment opportunities.
After the clear news about the new Phnom Penh
International Airport development project, Kandal province has now become a
major player in the land sector as well.
Oknha Teng Rithy, a local real estate expert
and general manager of R Investment Real Estate, explained that Kandal province
needs land because the province is actively developing infrastructure and has
both medium and high-rise housing projects, including some construction.
According to a report by the international real
estate company CBRE, the land sector in Cambodia has the highest growth rate,
while prices are rising by 12% every year.
